Vacancy available: gas metal arc welder (England)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Nottingham, England. The job is at an automobile body shop. On a typical shift you will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Full-time, day shift.
