Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Macon County, North Carolina. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Your main tasks: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
