Urgent requirement: press operator (North Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a press operator in Alamance County, North Carolina. The job is at a white goods manufacturing plant. Ideal candidate: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes Your main tasks: • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
