Banksman wanted in Bamberg County

Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Bamberg County, South Carolina. You will work at a container port. Day-to-day duties: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
