Gtaw welder wanted in Lowndes County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Lowndes County, Alabama. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. The role involves run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Pay around $3,400 per month, based on your experience.
