Join our team: mason's helper (North Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a mason's helper in Wayne County, North Carolina. You will be based on a commercial building project. What we are looking for: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain Day to day you will mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
