We are recruiting: pipe tig welder (Rhode Island)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Kent County, Rhode Island. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Day to day you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
