Meat cutter — Newport County

Join our team: we are hiring a meat cutter in Newport County, Rhode Island. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Day to day you will vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $210 per day, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
