Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Cherokee County, Alabama. Day-to-day duties: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding You should have: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Full-time with occasional weekends.
