Fabricator-welder — Sullivan County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Sullivan County, New York. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day On the job you will handle: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Part-time with flexible hours.
