Gas service engineer • Wicomico County, Maryland

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Wicomico County, Maryland. You will be based on residential and apartment building sites. What we are looking for: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Able to read isometric and site drawings Your main tasks: • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
