Now hiring: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Waldo County, Maine. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
