Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Menominee County, Wisconsin. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. The role involves: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
