Immediate opening: we are hiring a wood machinist in Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska. The job is in a cabinet-making workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles You should have: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
