Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. The job is in a chemical processing unit. The role involves run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
