Argon welder wanted in Saint Louis County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Saint Louis County, Missouri. You will work on an industrial construction site. You will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
