Ladle pourer • Christian County, Kentucky

Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Christian County, Kentucky. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day to day you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
