Pipe tig welder wanted in Telfair County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Telfair County, Georgia. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day to day you will carry out 6G pipe welds where required; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
