Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Monroe County, New York. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Day to day you will weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Full-time, day shift.
