Furnace operator wanted in Snyder County

Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Snyder County, Pennsylvania. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Day to day you will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
