Natural gas fitter — Macon County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Macon County, Georgia. The job is in customers' homes and kitchens. On a typical shift you will carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances. Requirements: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
