Reinforcement steel fixer — Winn Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Winn Parish, Louisiana. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. The role involves cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
