Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Sanborn County, South Dakota. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings The role involves: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
