Foundry labourer • Wabaunsee County, Kansas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Wabaunsee County, Kansas. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On a typical shift you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Share your details and we will call you back.
