Concrete placer — Contra Costa County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete placer in Contra Costa County, California. On a typical shift you will strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish. Requirements: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
