We are recruiting: we are hiring a production welder in Patrick County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 4+ years on the tools preferred.
