Shakeout operator wanted in Laurel County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Laurel County, Kentucky. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Your main tasks: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
