Join our team: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Tuolumne County, California. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Day to day you will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
