Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron The role involves set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
