Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Crawford County, Michigan. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
