Stainless steel welder wanted in Scott County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Scott County, Tennessee. Day-to-day duties: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
