Laundry presser wanted in Cumberland County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a laundry presser in Cumberland County, Illinois. Day to day you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts. Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
