We are recruiting: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Lisburn and Castlereagh, Northern Ireland. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Your main tasks: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
