Precision welder wanted in Kearny County

Now hiring: we are hiring a precision welder in Kearny County, Kansas. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Your main tasks: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
