Urgent requirement: banksman (California)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a banksman in Butte County, California. You will work in a heavy machinery workshop. Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear The role involves: • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
