Now hiring: sand plant operator (Kentucky)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Gallatin County, Kentucky. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Pay around $5,200 per month, based on your experience.
