Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Cambridgeshire, England. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Day-to-day duties: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover Part-time with flexible hours.
