Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Benton County, Indiana. You will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
