Now hiring: we are hiring a dogger in Saint John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a heavy machinery workshop. Day to day you will fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. Requirements: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
