Restoration bricklayer • Blaine County, Idaho

Great opportunity: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Blaine County, Idaho. You will be based on a busy housing site. Your main tasks: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Overtime paid at a premium rate.
