The role involves inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
