Immediate opening: horticulturist (Michigan)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horticulturist in Montcalm County, Michigan. You will be based in a public park. You will operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed. Ideal candidate: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish Full-time with occasional weekends.
