Immediate opening: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. You will work on a new-build development. Ideal candidate: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Day to day you will spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
