Metal caster wanted in Goochland County

Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Goochland County, Virginia. You will work at a busy iron foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
