Vacancy available: fettler (Texas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Real County, Texas. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. On the job you will handle: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $150 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
