Immediate opening: cnc turning machinist (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a cnc turning machinist in Smyth County, Virginia. You will work on the CNC turning shop floor. Requirements: • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls The role involves top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; run first-off inspection and sign off the part; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); write and edit G-code programs at the control.
