Immediate opening: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Grundy County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Your main tasks: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
