Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, England. The job is on a high-rise building project. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot The role involves ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around £2,000 per month, based on your experience.
