You should have: • Skilled in MIG welding and panel replacement • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding Day to day you will pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder; knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair.
