Trainee butcher — Garfield County

Now hiring: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Garfield County, Montana. On a typical shift you will season and marinate meat on request; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate 2+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
